There's no stopping Obama now!

It looks like John Edwards has come out in support of Barack Obama and that should hopefully be the end of Hillary Clinton....finally. As stated previously the only reason she would stay in the race is two-fold
1) She would like to bring Obama down, sort of a if I can't have it neither can you mentality.
2) The more likely reason is she is broke, and needs to stay around to help bring down that $20,000,000.00 debt she's amassed.

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this matter.

I agree it is over for Hillary and not just because John Edwards threw his support behind Obama (just another nail in the coffin) but before John publicly fell in w/Obama, Hillary stated: IT WOULD BE AN ERROR FOR PEOPLE TO VOTE MCCAIN OVER OBAMA. To me, she finally capitulated! She is starting to play ball.

Now, the Democratic machine cannot just toss her to the side for fear of offending the female voters (I'm not sexist but this is the world according to me). Allow her to go out on her terms and not let the women think the men just railroaded her. Also, her campaign is broke! She can sink only but so much of her own private money into the campaign. If you notice, during the last 1-2 months every primary she won, she immediately came on the air asking for donations!

Something else, I'm not totally convinced on this yet but an Obama/Edwards ticket is more of a 1-2 punch than Obama/Clinton. Edwards can definitely win the same states, if not more than, Hillary would have won for the Democratics in November effectively assuring a blow-out of the Republicans. This ticket would be like Bill Clinton/Al Gore part II. Unless something tragically happens the Democrats are in the Whitehouse for the next 16 years!

I have to go now and f**k with my posters on ABCNEWS.COM! Those people (skinheads, KKK, racists, etc...) are in a serious uproar! They just don't know what to do with themselves! I keep telling them there is a TSUNAMI coming across the country North/South/East/West and there isn't anything they can do about it! Ha-Ha!

I agree there's no stopping Obama now, but I caution being to over zealous. History has taught us that once we get to the Convention, anything can happen!!! Is America ready for an African American Nominee? Numbers aside, Obama needs to continue to approach each Primary just as before.

Slim but still possible, Clinton could possibly have a majority of the popular vote and Obama will have the Delegates, but let's not give anything to chance. As for Edwards, I really would have liked to see him come out prior to West Virginia, and in fact, he should have been side by side with Obama in North Carolina. Let's be real, we live in the United States of America, "Home of the free, land of the brave". How many of you know nothing is truly ever free, but is brought with a price!!!

We as a people have historically taught and reminded our children that we need to be better than the opposition, study harder, work harder, just to compete for the same jobs and opportunities we are usually better equipped to fulfill. I LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE.

Whether she's finished or not, one thing is for certain is that in announcing the endorsement from Edwards right after he got beat in West Virginia was a brilliant move with regard to political strategy. What I mean is he wiped out any perceived momentum she may have thought she captured by her win. See the media was prepared to pounce on Obama with that he can't put her away nonsense again but come on.......West Virginia...??? The Hatfield vs. McCoy state. It was a far gone conclusion that he wasn't going to win there. Again brilliant political move on behalf of the brother.

I agree brilliant strategy on Obama's behalf, also note what state he came out in support for Obama in. Obama's handler's are a shrewd bunch.

White Lion, I would love to invite those fools from ABCNEWS.COM to your site but I recall the rules and stipulations you want to enforce. You might want to join that site first, then decide whether you want to openly extend an invitation for those posters to join meetfolksonline.com (not that I think you would get a whole lot of takers). They are rough and keep it real, but they are the reality of this country, outside of the 'hood!

I appears more and more conceivable that President Obama will become a reality in January 2009. It all depends on the strategists that he has surrounded himself with. Edwards is in the fold, Gore is on the outskirts peeking in, Clinton is the black sheep of the family whose ego you have to stroke every now and then to show she is relevent, and then there are the host of heavyweights i.e. Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Bill Richardson, Maria Shriver, Oprah Winfrey, etc... Now if the strategists can give respectable positions/jobs within the new administration to Edwards/Clinton/Gore I believe the Democrats will have the White House locked for many, many years to come. As a matter of fact here is a homework assignment for the strategists: pull a coupe and bring Colin Powell to the Democratic side (I really don't believe he is totally married to the Republicans) and watch that "LACK OF FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE" myth get shot out of the sky! Then, of course, I awoke from my dream!

The word on the street is Clinton despises Obama for taking away his wife's dream.

If that is true, "is this the kettle calling the pot black"? If anyone destroyed her dream I believe it was him (Slick Willie) some years ago with a "skank" named Lewinsky!

No I think America forgot about his transgressions. I think Hillary did herself in with her smug appearance, and condescending demeanor.
